Scriberr ("Scriberr," "we," "our," or "us") provides a Shopify-embedded application designed to help merchants organize notes, contacts, folders, and related business information within their Shopify admin. 2.1 Merchant Information from Shopify

When you install Scriberr, Shopify provides us with certain information necessary to operate the App, including but not limited to:

  • Store name and domain
  • Store owner name
  • Store email address
  • Shopify store ID
  • Plan and billing status (Free or Pro)

We do not access customer order data, payment details, or storefront visitor data unless explicitly required for a feature and disclosed in advance.

2.2 User-Generated Content

Scriberr stores data that you or your staff intentionally create within the App, including:

  • Notes and note content
  • Folders and organizational structures
  • Contacts and contact details you input
  • Tags, labels, and metadata
  • Version history and snapshots of notes

This data belongs entirely to you. Scriberr does not claim ownership over any user-generated content.

2.3 Usage and Technical Data

To ensure performance, reliability, and security, we may collect limited technical data such as:

  • App usage events (e.g., feature interactions, limits reached)
  • Error logs and crash reports
  • Browser type and device information
  • IP address (used for security and abuse prevention)

This data is used strictly for operational and diagnostic purposes.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide and operate Scriberr features
  • Enforce Free and Pro plan limits
  • Process subscriptions and billing via the Shopify Billing API
  • Improve app performance, stability, and usability
  • Communicate important service-related notices
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical or security issues

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.

4. Data Storage and Security

Scriberr stores data using secure, industry-standard infrastructure, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and managed databases.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we follow best practices appropriate for a Shopify app handling merchant data.

Scriberr retains data for as long as your store has the App installed.

If you uninstall the App, your data is scheduled for deletion within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.

Continued use of Scriberr after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
